The History of Noni

Thousands of years ago, on the island paradise of French Polynesia, a group of adventurous men and women found their destined homeland. In a lush, verdant setting, this group disembarked from their outrigger canoes, bringing with them their families and their precious cargo. Amongst their carefully selected cargo were plants that would sustain life in their new homes. The most precious of these was a small fruit prized by their ancestors for ages as a secret to health: Noni. And now today, that story has risen to a contemporary status. Lines of fate crossed to bring to the world this mysterious and little-known plant. From the remotest corner of the world, to a globe-spanning market, this is the story of Tahitian Noni International.

When food scientists John Wadsworth and Stephen Story first heard tales of noni in 1994, they just had to investigate. They visited Tahiti numerous times, meeting with village leaders and locals to learn more about noni's traditional uses and why it was so revered.
